ok before you all get mad at me it wasn't cause i tired to. i was out on my 18 mile run about 6 miles in when i saw a large group of walkers ahead of me. Well it turns out it was the 'breast cancer 3day walk'.
so when i came up on the first group of walker there was a women with a bullhorn cheering on all the walkers until she saw me running. She was joking around saying no running during the walk. but then they were ok when i told them i was training for twin cities marathon.
well once i got past them i figured that was the last i would see of all those walkers. About 5 more miles i crossed paths with them again. This time it was much more quiet just waiting with some women at a stop light.
Now the third time i ended up on the route there was HUGE cheering section. At last a good 1/4 mile of cheering and bells and signs for walkers. I know they weren't cheering for me but wow did that get me moving. That had to be the best place for that. i was 16 miles in to my run and it really got me goin... even gave me chills.
i really cant even get my head around what its going to be like for my marathon in a couple weeks. But if its anything near what this was like as a 'bandit' the cheering will really help me along near the end of my first marathon.
sorry for my rambling i cant help it blame the taper :p
